Seventy years after its original creation, the Contour Chair is back, blending lightness in form with comfort and flexibility, making it a natural design favorite for the modern day.
Møgensen first presented the Contour Chair at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild in 1949 to showcase an innovative aesthetic challenging both form and materials. Created using new technology in form-pressed veneer, the Contour Chair became an exponent of a new design movement.
Today Carl Hansen and Søn reintroduces a design classic that embodies innovation, technique, and high-quality materials.
