Alexander Girard Maze Merino Wool Blanket

Alexander Girard Maze Merino Wool Blanket

The two-toned blankets of the Girard Wool Blankets were originally conceived in 1971 as printing motifs for decorative wall panels, fabrics, or pillows. In collaboration with the Girard Family, these graphic designs are now being executed in a jacquard weave to produce this fine collection of wool blankets. An additional effect of this weaving technique is seen in the alternating constellations of vibrant and muted color tones.

Designer: Alexander Girard
Manufacturer: Vitra
Dimensions: 79" x 53"

Construction: 100% Merino Lamb's Wool, using the Jacquard weaving technique. Merino Lamb's Wool is a high-quality natural fiber obtained from the first shearing of Merino Lambs. It is extremely light and extraordinarily soft and fine while also providing optimal warmth and thermal balance. Considerable technical know-how and manual skill are required to process the premium natural fibers. For this reason, Vitra blankets are made by a German blanket manufacturer with over 100 years of experience in fabricating products from natural fibers.
