Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain in 1961 and currently lives and works in Milan. She attended the School of Architecture of Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglione. After working with Achille Castiglioni, Vico Magistretti, and Piero Lissoni, she opened her own architecture and product design studio in 2001.
In addition to her architectural work, she designs for many prestigious global design firms, including Kartell, B&B Italia, Flos, Foscarini, Kvadrat, and Moroso among others. Her award-winning designs are included in the permanent collections of MoMA and other museums around the world.
