Our Story

At Palette & Parlor we believe Scandinavian and Modern furniture blends beautifully in a variety of interiors. We are entrepreneurs and North Carolina natives. We built our business to pair timeless modern design with southern sensibility and a distinctive point of view, and we are here to offer you beautiful, well-made furniture, rugs, lighting, and objects.

We are proud to be an authorized dealer for some of the best American and European furniture makers that have stood the test of time, including Knoll, Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen, Vitra, GUBI, Fredericia, Muuto, and L.Ercolani, and to offer local NC-made selections from Thayer Coggin, Precedent Furniture, Charleston Forge, and Bernhardt Design.  We also seek out unique products from a broad base of global design talent, like hand-blown glass bubble chandeliers from New York-based PELLE and modern rugs made with ancestral techniques from Barcelona-based Nanimarquina.

We will share where and how each thoughtfully-selected piece is made so you can write your own design story.

We enjoy working with the Trade, and welcome architects and interior designers to our showroom.

We value sustainability, and work to source furnishings made from natural materials to minimize our environmental impact and enhance health and wellbeing.

Many of our manufacturers design products to improve indoor air quality, make use of recycled materials, and source wood exclusively through sustainably managed forests. As a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, we are committed to continuous improvement in our sustainability efforts.
