Jürgen Laub and Markus Jehs are both industrial designers that graduated from the Schwabisch Gmund University in 1992.They established the studio Jehs+Laub in 1994, and over the past couple of years they have designed furniture for Cassina, Renz, Thonet, Acerbis and lamps for Nemo and Belux. They have also designed the new showroom concept for Mercedes Benz, which is currently being implemented globally.

The Space Series started in Fritz Hansen as concept furniture. The furniture was introduced as a series of prototypes,  and the series received so much positive feedback it was a natural decision to introduce Space™ in 2007.
